Many tropical bird rescue programs aim to increase the population of certain tropical birds. They also watch the birds to make sure that they’re not being poached and that national regulations are being followed to preserve the bird’s habitat. Some tropical bird rescue programs try to place tropical birds that have been abused or mishandled into foster homes. The tropical birds that are rescued in these situations are usually someone’s pet.
