Dachshunds are short-legged and long bodied dogs known as "Wiener dogs." One type of dog in this group is the Isabella Dachshunds. These are like any other Dachshund, but with a dilution of color between chocolate and tan. Isabella Dachshunds have light grayish green eyes and the nose pad and nail colors are pale liver colored. These dogs are very playful and intelligent, but also can be stubborn. They were considered one of the best 10 dog breeds of 2005.
They have a happy and outgoing personality, but they are curious and persistent. They love to be a part of the family and participate in all activities. However, remember that if you let them out in your garden that they also love to dig. Isabella Dachshunds are very easy to maintain, as they just require having their coat brushed a few times.
They get along with children, but they will get along even better 
if you introduce them to the children from the time they are puppies. These dogs are not good for young children unless they have been taught how to deal with the dog, which can be hard to do, as they are kids. These dogs have strong prey instincts and they can try to go after the kids, especially when they are running around.
Isabella Dachshunds, as Dachshunds in general, have an elastic skin without excessive wrinkling. They have three different types of coats: smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired. The paws are unusually large and paddle-shaped in order for them to be able to dig better. They are very cleaver and courageous and are not usually shy. They need a lot of training and you have to be consistent with it, otherwise they will get confused and it will result in a lot of barking as a sign of frustration. They are very affectionate dogs and they love to snuggle and kiss. They also love to be scratched and have their bellies rubbed
They are very playful dogs, but each one has their own personality. Some of them like to chase the ball, while others prefer squeaky dog toys, and some just like to relax on the couch. Some Dachshunds are the family clowns and they like to do tricks and keep the family laughing with their spontaneous ideas.
These dogs are the only AKC recognized breed that hunts below and above the ground. They are very funny looking dogs, but also fun to play with. You will have a great time with one of these wonderful Isabella Dachshund puppies. They are almost always in the AKC Top Ten most popular breeds and they are very popular within illustrations and sculptures.

As mentioned before these are great dogs, but not recommended for little kids unless you are bringing them home as puppies and they both are going to grow together and be taught how to deal with one another.
