    The Pharaoh Hound has been seen in tomb paintings dating to 4000 B.C., and was subsequently found in Malta. More recently, the breed came to Britain in the 1930's and the U.S. in the 1960's.

They are sensitive to cold, and should not ever be outdoor dogs -- they are homebodies, and this means the family home.
