How to Lhasa Apso Grooming

1. The Facts:

   To groom a Lhasa Apso dog, you will need a pin brush, a metal comb with wide and narrow teeth, clippers to cut toe nails and hair in the pads, detangler or a mixture of creme rinse and water, scissors for trimming, a hair dryer, and bathing supplies, such as shampoo and towels.

3. What to Do:

   Make the dog lie down on its back or on the side and brush the coat in layers. After that, make the dog turn over and then repeat the process. When trying to remove mats, use a detangler or creme rinse mixed with water. Spray the detangler and try to separate with your hand as much as possible. Then use a brush to make the mat loose. Make sure you check the ears and pluck the excess hair in it. The hair should be dry before removing and try to pluck a few hairs at a time. Make the dog lie down on its side and take a pad in one hand. Spread the pad so that you can trim the hair between the pets paw pads. Use a clipper or scissors for trimming. Bathe the dog and dry it before brushing the hair. Make sure you remove any tangles and mats before you bathe the dog. Use a hair dryer to dry the hair.
