A pellet ⁄ seed cake is a good way to help introduce pellets to your bird´s diet if he´s only been eating seeds
Things to Consider:
Dietary Changes –If you´re thinking of changing your bird´s diet, you need to take him to the vet and first make sure he´s healthy. Dietary changes could cause just enough stress in a bird's system as to aggravate an existing condition.
Fruit – While fruits are a good addition to a parrot or macaw´s diet, some fruits, or parts of fruits, are toxic. For example, apple seeds contain cyanide and need to be removed from the apple before you feed the fruit to your pet.
Food Presentation – How your pet´s food may matter to your pet. If your parrot, or macaw, won´t eat fruit or veggies, by skewering some metal pole, the food may look for enticing to your bird.
