Great products to help keep your bird´s skin healthy!
Things to Consider:
Yellow/Orange Skin – You need to regularly check the skin on your bird´s pectoral area, thighs, and wing tips for thick, yellow, or orange patches of skin. It´s a skin condition called xanthomas and can be destructive. It is most common in budgies, cockatiels, and cockatoos.
Red, Ulcerated Skin – Ulcerative dermatitis is another skin condition that can affect your bird. It is characterized by red, oozing, and ulcerated skin. There are several things that can cause this condition. You should consult your avian vet for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
Dander Powder – If you, or someone in your house, develops allergies after getting a bird, it could be due to the bird´s dander. Purchasing a non-toxic dander powder may help to reduce the amount of dander that´s released into the air.
