Read About Choosing Ceramic Dishes and Bowls

With a seemingly endless array of choices, you´re sure to find a ceramic set that fits both you and your cat´s personality.

Things to Consider:

  • Keep Dishes Clean – You need to be sure you keep your cat´s food and water dishes clean. The bowls should be rinsed out every few days. If you primarily feed your cat-wet food, the food dish should be rinsed out daily.

  • Place Mats – For some reason, most cats like to take food out of their dish and set it on the floor before eating it. If your cat is leaving little cat food crumbs behind, you could start setting her dish on a place mat. It can be either one that´s designed specifically for cats or even a "people place mat" will do the trick.

  • Lead Content – When selecting a ceramic bowl, you need to make sure it meets FDA requirements regarding lead content.
