Read About Choosing Digestive

When selecting food and treats for you cat, you need to remember that they are "obligate carnivores.". In other words, their bodies are designed for carnivorous diets and are unable to adjust to low protein diets.

Things to Consider:

  • Ingredients – Taurine and arginine are amino acids that are essential to your cat´s diet. When selecting a food, you should always check the ingredients for these amino acids.

  • When to See a Vet – If you notice that you cat is vomiting and/or has diarrhea, your cat may have gastrointestinal problems. You need to have your cat examined by your vet.

  • Digestive Issues – If your cat vomits, but acts alert, and is still interested in food, you may not need to take her to the vet right away. Instead, you should remove all food and water for at least six hours to allow the digestive track time to rest. Then, you can slowly re–introduce food and water, monitoring how your cat responds to the food.
