Dog chews and bones are outstanding training tools to use with new puppies.
Things to consider: Teething puppies, digging puppies, and treats during training.
Sore Mouths - Dog chews and bones are essential for proper training of the puppy you just brought home from the store for new puppies. While adult dogs chew because they like to, puppies chew because they are teething. Chewing dog chews and bones alleviates the pain and soreness in their teeth and gums associated with teething.
Stop Digging - You can train a puppy to stop digging up your yard by choosing a designated digging hole where it is okay for her to dig to her little heart's content. You can distinguish this approved digging spot from the rest of your yard by occasionally burying there some tasty dog chews and bones for her to dig up.
Training Treats - If you train your new puppy with food, always use small dog treats during the training, never full-sized dog chews and bones or the puppy will get so engaged eating it that it pretty much ends your training session now. Instead, give her small dog treats and pieces of dog treats from the store for new puppies as part of her reward (praise and affection being the other part) and, when the session is all done, rewarding her for her attention with larger dog chews and bones.
