Read About Choosing Livestock Antibiotics

For an effective treatment against infections and other illnesses at home, antibiotics are a good choice for your livestock.

Things to Consider:

  • Dairy cows – Cows that are used for milk production and are taking antibiotics will not have milk that is sellable. Once antibiotic use is discontinued, you will need to test the milk to ensure it is safe.

  • Slaughtering – Like dairy cows, beef cows cannot be slaughtered for at least 28 days after they have been given antibiotics.
