The Right Halter – There are halters especially made for specific breeds. Be sure to purchase a halter that is specific to your animal's breed. Take note of the size, material and design as these make for a proper fit.
The Handler – Depending on who will be leading the animal, it might be better to have a halter with a good handle on the end. Using just a rope can be difficult for young hands to hold on to. Use gloves if needed for added grip.
