Things to Consider:

Ear tags – Plastic ear tags are probably the most common method of identification, and are fairly affordable. They come in a variety of colors, and are either blank or numbered.

Electronic –There are also electronic tags available today for use. They are applied just like regular ear tags, but they cost quite a bit more money.

Temporary – If you are only temporarily marking your animals for sale or vaccination, there are markers available that will eventually wash off.
