The swine feeds you choose should contain the right balance of essential nutrients. To aid in nourishing your swine, there are supplements available.
Things to Consider:
Blood tests –Blood tests may be necessary to determine any deficiencies that your swine may have. One common deficiency is iron. Swine can become very anemic and even die if this level is not properly controlled.
Storage –Supplements should be stored properly away from other animals, and preferably in a temperature-controlled area. Be sure to check expiration dates of products.
Feeding –Most supplements can be administered orally or added to food and water. Be sure to check instructions for the proper methods, along with dosage and frequency.
