To provide a constant supply of fresh water to your livestock, purchase a waterer.
Things to Consider:
Existing tanks – For those that already have a large stock tank or other water container, you can always purchase a float valve and quickly turn your existing tank into an automatic waterer.
There when you need it – If you're concerned about using a heated water bowl all the time, there are options. Some containers have thermostats which will maintain the temperature of your animal's water and will only operate when necessary.
Size –Depending on how many animals you are caring for, you want to be sure that your water container is adequate. Cattle can consume 10-15 gallons of water per day each, with milking cows drinking twice that amount.
