Read About Choosing Waterers-Accessories

To provide a constant supply of fresh water to your livestock, purchase a waterer.

Things to Consider:

  • Existing tanks – For those that already have a large stock tank or other water container, you can always purchase a float valve and quickly turn your existing tank into an automatic waterer.

  • There when you need it – If you're concerned about using a heated water bowl all the time, there are options. Some containers have thermostats which will maintain the temperature of your animal's water and will only operate when necessary.

  • Size –Depending on how many animals you are caring for, you want to be sure that your water container is adequate. Cattle can consume 10-15 gallons of water per day each, with milking cows drinking twice that amount.
